Rince na gCnamh was premiered at the opening of visual artist Una Ni She's exhibition 'Felt' at Siamsa Tire in Tralee in March 2009 with a live improvisation with Canteloupe - the multi-talented Corca Dhuibhne-based choir. The sound installation ran for the duration of the exhibition.
Shapes and rhythms of stories form the skeleton of Rince na gCnamh which grew from and was inspired by the warmth of friends' voices and by the shifting and colourful chatter of the Corca Dhuibhne soundscape. These voices are brought into a new setting here, both commenting on and shaping the environment for Una Ni She's visuals.
